Confessions of a Wildlife Artist

In the Studio with Greg Beecham Instructional Video

Considered by many to be one of the top wildlife artists in the nation, Greg Beecham has been painting full-time since 1978.  Greg studied under his father, noted illustrator and fine artist, Tom Beecham.

Greg is a gifted teacher who feels a strong desire to impart to others the same benefit of instruction that he was blessed to receive.  He has the ability to describe the tools of the trade; color, value, texture, edges, drawing, and composition, with the understanding of how to unite them into a synthesis of simplicity and beauty.

In his video debut, Greg reveals a great knowledge of animals and shares, with a wry touch of humor, his delightful and sometimes harrowing experiences with wildlife.

Beecham's work has claimed numerous awards and twice graced the cover of Southwest Art Magazine, as well as other journals.  In 2014 Beecham was inducted into The Gilcrease Museum's Rendezvous Hall of Fame; at which time they presented a retrospective of his work.

Watch over Greg's shoulder as he brings to life a majestic cougar on the canvas.  Follow every stroke as this master wildlife artist demystifies the painting process.  Artists of all levels will benefit from Greg's experience and insights as he clearly articulates the most important concepts in painting.
